- Unfiltered conversations that go from deep to ridiculous in 0.5 seconds
- Storytimes that make you clutch your chest and your pearls
- Reads that are educational, spiritual, and sometimes unnecessary
- Receipts because we don’t argue without evidence

- Real talk about being Black, gay, grown, and trying to make it through the week
We’re four voices, four perspectives, one mic… and somehow they still let us talk into it.

Pull up a seat, grab your drink, and join the conversation that’ll have you laughing, thinking, and texting your best friend like, “Did you hear what they said?!”

Windmill Flip And Setting The Theme
SPEAKER_02Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Who Gave Us the Mike? I'm your host for this particular episode, Icy Notes. And we are going to take another journey, not as heavy as some of our other episodes have been. But we're going to talk about some embarrassing moments, whether it was something that happened to us or something that happened to someone else, which is called second-hand embarrassment. I think I'll just go ahead and start us off. I'm going to just go right into it. I got a few a few moments that didn't happen in my lifetime. But the few that the are the one that sticks out at least right now. This is when I was a kid. And uh and I remember I was I was down in where was I at? I think it was in Newcomer's Town. And I was playing with a dog. And I was running around. And uh this is who were we at? We were at a family reunion for my dad's girlfriend at the time. And I was playing with the little dog, it was I let it chase me or whatever. And uh I ended up falling or flipping over, not falling, but flipping over a windmill that was sitting in the yard. And the only one that laughed was my sister. She laughed. I laughed. Everybody was told, oh my gosh, is he okay? Is he okay? I'm like, I'm fine. I'm like, I she's like, he's fine, ain't nothing wrong with him. And I I'm I was in I was in pain, but I I I mean I was fine though. It was a little embarrassing, but it was it was more funny than anything. But a windmill? A windmill, yes.
SPEAKER_05Like those little blasters.
SPEAKER_02It was some yard decoration. It was like a little small windmill.
SPEAKER_05Stress. I'm like, what?
SPEAKER_02No, it was like a wooden one. It was like a real like little windmill. Like was with it. Was it windmill or a whale? Either one. I don't know. It would it stuck out in the yard. It was some yard decoration. And I flipped over it. But um, yeah. And that's just to get us going here. I just thought I'd give us an opening story. So we also have with us Azari, Chaos, and King Leo is with us as well. Y'all thought I forgot, didn't you? He's the king. I was somewhere surprised. He gets one. He gets one every episode. One, maybe two, if I forget. We don't give him two, he gets one. But uh so who got the next story for us? Let me see. Who am I gonna call on? Chaos, you look like you're ready.
SPEAKER_05But I I actually prepared this time. Um so I think I have four. Listen, hey, I I just be winging it, and it usually works out well for me.
Getting Outed And Losing A Friend
SPEAKER_05Um I am going to start with the time, and this is when I was younger. Um, I was at my dad's house and I had a friend of mine uh that I would hang out with after school. We would play, whatever. And this is about the time I was starting to figure out my sexuality, right? So we both were kind of, you know, I guess exploring that together. And that that like that's all it really was, right? But then there were some neighborhood kids that he would play with, but like in his neighborhood, that um like saw us playing around a lot, and this one particular kid, and he was younger than me too, by the way. So I just let some little kid bully me. Um I guess didn't like that I was hanging out with his friend or whatever had happened. So there was a time that my friend and I were hanging out. Um we were kind of doing our thing, and the little boy, I guess, must have caught us or like kind of figured out that something might be going on. So then he asked me, like, straight up, if me and this friend were like gay or if I was gay or whatever, and I said yes.
SPEAKER_01Were you?
SPEAKER_05Huh? How old were you? I I had to be like middle school, maybe freshman in high school. Okay. Okay, that makes it a little better because I was like, geez, I'm like youngest kids in the asking. No, no, no. It was like we like we were like older. Like I was definitely at least a freshman or eighth grade, but this particular kid, he was younger. I don't remember how old he was, but like he had younger than us. Um so then he asked, I said, yeah. Yes. Look, these kids is nosy. Um, but then I told him yes. He went back and told my friend. So now my friend, because now the whole neighborhood knows, my friend is like upset. So now my friend is like at the point where he said he had to like fight me. You know, he was wanting to fight because of this, and we didn't actually end up fighting, but he ended up telling the neighborhood that we fought. I think we said that he beat me up, and then I just never really hung out with him and them again because you know, obviously they would know A, we never really fought, and then B, it would kind of get the heat off of him. So, um, but yes, I embarrassed myself to like a neighborhood full of uh, you know, my peers, and then uh I lost a friend in the process, and I was like, I I guess it's sad in embarrassing. Did you lose a friend? Well, I mean this is Did you uh I mean now a particular person and I we used to hang out all the time. Like we were cool. I mean, and we hung out a lot in school and out of school, so I would say at the time, yes, I would have considered him a friend. I mean, those actions maybe.
SPEAKER_01Don't say like the I I I have to fight you is really like don't seem all that friendly.
SPEAKER_05Well, think about though, like back in that time in, you know, in middle school, high school, where you're like not wanting to be gay, and he had to insert some kind of dominance. I'm not saying it's right, but I think for the times, it probably was like that way to prove that you were like a man and strong, and you know, you ain't with that gay stuff.
SPEAKER_02To show that you wasn't gay and you know, I think true.
SPEAKER_01Because I see plenty of the ones that did that sucking dick now behind Valero for Valero, behind Costco for Valero gift cards.
SPEAKER_05So with that, you know, hey, I mean I got over it. I didn't care. Like so, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, now we're going down to King Leo. I know you got a story for us.
SPEAKER_00Well, my life. My life is a story. But yes, I'll be summer. Right. Everybody started as a young out. I guess I'll go young too.
Sneaking Outside And Eating Concrete
SPEAKER_00Um, I guess it's when I was a kid, and uh I wasn't supposed to be going outside. I think at the time that I was really young, um, I think I was maybe like eight, maybe, and my mom told me not to go outside, but I snuck outside anyways. I didn't make it very far because when I went outside, as soon as I got outside, I don't know what the hell I tripped on on the porch, but I tripped and fell down the steps and and literally had a big old like scratch or gash down inside the front of my face. And there were people outside, they started busting out laughing. My cousin came outside asking me, Am I okay? As she's laughing and blood is going down my face, you're gonna ask me, Am I okay? Are you laughing? I'm bleeding, and asking me if I'm okay. So then she goes get my mom.
SPEAKER_01I know it's plenty of tops.
SPEAKER_00Shut up. And you know, my mom, she being her motherly self, see, that's what you get. I told you not to go outside, you sneaking outside, that's karma. God got you. I said, you know what? Does anybody not see the fact that I am bleeding and y'all all trying to chastise me and laugh, but I'm literally bleeding.
SPEAKER_02Like that's family for me. That would probably be like the one at least fixed out for me.
SPEAKER_00I wanted to go outside. And she didn't have a legitimate reason for me to not go outside, I feel like. And when I was a kid, so ain't that's not a reason to me. Because if I try that shit now that I'm older and say to somebody at work, oh, well, why we gotta do because I said so. How how do you think that's gonna go off?
SPEAKER_02You as her child, though.
SPEAKER_01I think that's that's about to say Yeah, that's exactly what a parent has said to you because I said so.
SPEAKER_00I need a reason because, like I said, it's not a reason. That's that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_01See, that's my parents were about to beat me. My parents were about to beat my ass and be like, there's your reason. You know what? You're right. I'm gonna go on upstairs like you told me to.
SPEAKER_02No, not be defiant. That wasn't it overwhelmed in the roads household. Right.
SPEAKER_00And it didn't, it didn't stop me. I would think that would have stopped me. It didn't, I still kept being defiant.
SPEAKER_02I know. Well, I know I come back. I'm ready to start. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01Um, do I want to start with one of mine or do I want to tell somebody else's? Stage is yours.
Tag Gone Wrong With A Pole
SPEAKER_01We'll start with one of hers just because I think it's a little funny now.
SPEAKER_02So um teenage in this house now.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not my sister. Okay. It's my cousin. Um so, but she was there though. My sister was there. So our big growing asses, I think my sister was like 16, so I had to be like 17 or 18. I was too grown to be out there playing tag with my little cousins. So I'm out there running around. We chasing my one cousin, she ran and she looked back. And you remember my house on Summit, Icy Notes?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01So you know there's that big sign out in front of my house.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01She's running and she's looking back, and she turns and all we hear with wah wah wah wah wah wah. She done smacked her face against the damn pole. What I tell you, she just sat there for a minute and she looked like this. She said, paused, and it just started hollering. I'm like, ooh. But you know what though? Nothing split open. She is still alive to this day in her big 20, 20-something-year-old age, and I think there's no brain damage. So we good. My babysitting is still a success. We don't need to go get nothing checked, do we? You know what? It's been she's about 26, 27. Now it's been about 20 years, so I think if anything was broken, we'd have figured it out by now if she was ticking or buffering, but she's alright. She's alright. She's built tough. In case y'all are wondering, Azari's babysitting services will be starting back up this year. I promise. No, no severe injuries.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so she's she's fine.
SPEAKER_03She's alright. She's fine. She's good.
SPEAKER_01She's alive. She's alive. Right. But did she die though?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, maybe died a little inside. I'm gonna know that.
SPEAKER_01But you don't, but you know what, through love and comfort and and you know what, me be semi being responsible. We were able to get her through that. Let the church say amen on this blessed Sunday. Amen. Amen. It's a Sunday, ain't it? Hallelujah. Damn, well, I wasn't all right.
SPEAKER_02All right. I guess I'll go again.
Pescatarian Confusion At Church
SPEAKER_02So I I got it. It's another one with me. Uh this is uh this was hold on, because this this is the I was in my I was definitely in my 20s at this one. And I should have known better. Well, I uh whatever. I don't know all, I don't know all the words in a dictionary. So it was I think I told y'all this story before, but anyways, so this is when my niece she was going through her little phases or whatever, and she was trying different diets and stuff like that, and she said that she was pescatarian. And I was like, I said, you know, we you know, we go to church. You know, I was like, what do you mean? What is a pescatarian? I didn't know what it was.
SPEAKER_01Oh I remember this story. I think you caught me then I think you caught me the next day, and I was just gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_02I said we believe in Jesus. We believe in Jesus. I was like, what is a pescatarian? She's like, that's where you eat fish. I was like, oh, oh.
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh, I was like, what day?
SPEAKER_01I was like, my bad. You know, you know Google would have fixed that right on up for you if you'd have took just 30 seconds, Google.
SPEAKER_02I think when she had uh oh god, when she had came over and I was like either just getting up or something. I don't know, I wasn't thinking. I wasn't thinking at all.
SPEAKER_01I was like, you know You know, you know, you was thinking, you know what you you thought you heard Presbyteria.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, well yeah, I don't know what I heard, right?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I mean that's still a form of Christianity. I don't know about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I don't know, but we I was but that was my second question. Like when you said, well, we believed in Jesus. Well technically, though she still believed in Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Well, I didn't, I didn't, I just heard Pescotarian. I didn't hear Presbyterian. He said I mean I guess it sounds very close. He said no against the I know what I'm getting for Christmas, a thesaurus. I need I don't need one now. We all need one at the time. I'm about to say I got my phone, I'd be alright. I don't I don't know if the phones were, you know, that was a while ago. I don't know if I nah it wasn't that long ago. It was long enough. That's probably about the time that you had to pay for it.
SPEAKER_01It was in my 20s. Like it was in like those are like the 2010s. Stop it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but you had to pay for it probably about that time.
SPEAKER_02I think so. Yeah, probably. See? No, I wasn't doing that. Yeah. Wait till it became free. Now I can look freely. What you got for it? What's your second story?
Tetherball Pole Ding On The Playground
SPEAKER_00Um like this. I'm gonna go back to uh uh uh when I was in I was in elementary school, and uh, but I think I was in like the high grade, so I think I was I was definitely older, but I was outside playing on the playground, and we were playing tag or something like that, chasing each other around, and I was running. And you know, as kids, when you're playing tag, you like to turn around and kind of see where the person was at if they're chasing you or not. So at the time, you know how back when we were kids, they had a little tetherball thing where you slap the ball around the little the little thing as you try to get it to wrap around the pole first. So one of those poles was right there, kind of like a Zari story, but it's cussing. I was running and I turned around and I looked to kind of see where they were at, turned back around, smack dead into the pole. Like, I mean, it was hard. I mean, I hit that pole hard and I fell back, and they didn't, I mean I didn't I didn't bleed this time, at least I didn't bust nothing open or nothing. But I hit the pole really hard, so hard that it made like a loud ding sound. And my teacher saw this, so she she came running over and she was like, Oh my god, are you okay? I just looked at her, I was like, I don't know. Like it had it took time to register what exactly happened because I was a little dazed, so I was like confused, but I look around the playground, everybody's laughing. Like all the kids I saw that was laughing, cracking up, but all the teachers are all around. I'm like, oh my god, we need to take it to the nurse. I was like, I don't think it's that serious, but it was more embarrassing than it did was anything else. I was just embarrassed, not even her, just what was her was my part.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it made a cover me.
SPEAKER_00I mean a loud ding sound. I was like, yeah. And I think that was the last time I played tag on a on a school playground.
SPEAKER_02That's so like something on like a cartoon or something. Where they hit the shelf bingam ling.
SPEAKER_01What they say, uh drag race chaos. Ooh, he fell. He fell.
SPEAKER_03Oh Jeremone.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Well, who's who wanna go next?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna let y'all fight up. I actually got one for myself this time. I gotta do it. Okay.
SPEAKER_05We volunteered this time. We we progressing, baby.
SPEAKER_02So I'm looking. That's because this is a uh simple episode.
SPEAKER_01That's what the nerve, the nerve and audacity about progressive. We will talk about progression when we get out of this favorite whole shit.
SPEAKER_02I need to get an opportunity to say that this time. And you say that.
SPEAKER_01And I I I greatly appreciate it because it's false. It's it's inflammatory, it's defamation, it's slanderous. No proof to back this up.
Snowstorm Slip And Spinning On Ice
SPEAKER_01So uh it was wintertime. I think I had to be maybe 13. I was a teenager, but I went late grown teenager, so I had to be like maybe 13 to 15. I was walking with my cousin Michael. Um, I think you met my cousin Michael, as you know. Um, I probably did. Um You know, I ain't gonna put that on the back.
SPEAKER_02I have a lot. There was only one in particular, though.
SPEAKER_01I ain't gonna say it, man. Uh no.
SPEAKER_03But uh please don't.
SPEAKER_01We were we were coming from the store. We were walking to the house. I don't know why our asses was walking in the middle of a fucking snowstorm, but we were walking from the store, probably getting some shit we ain't have no business getting. And I remember uh him talking shit about it being slick, and I'm like, oh shit, I dance, I got this, and I'm doing shit, I ain't got no business. Slit.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_01Missed everything and landed flat on my ass. And for some reason, I started spinning. Like you just talked to me. Like a top, like a top, like a top. I spun like a top. Yes. But why did you spin? I don't understand. I so let my cousin tell me, he says I should be grateful because my ass absorbed the impact, even though it spun me around for five minutes. Shut up. So he went home and went to tell him my sister and if he was like, Yeah, he missed everything, landed right on his ass, and just started spinning. Just kept spinning.
SPEAKER_02Just kept spinning. Keep spinning, keep spinning. That is that's terrible. I'm sorry that happened to you. No, he's not. No, I'm about to say, no, you're not.
SPEAKER_01I'm so sorry. It's just it just adds to my trauma about all the jokes made about my ass.
SPEAKER_03Whatever.
SPEAKER_02Go ahead, chaos. I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh that much. Go ahead, chaos. Yes, you do. Yes, you do.
SPEAKER_05Um so this is not about me.
Dorm Beef And Brass Knuckles Aftermath
SPEAKER_05This is something I witnessed. Um, so I did a short stint at Toledo for uh schooling, and I remember living in this dorm, and there was this dude from Detroit, and I believe the other dude was from Cleveland, and they had some beef going on. I don't know what was happening, um, but they were not getting along. So the one dude from Cleveland running his mouth saying that, like, if the dude, if the dude from Detroit jumped on him, you know, they could go, they could tussle, he'd win, whatever, whatever. Well, um the dude from Cleveland got stomped out. And then not even until like the the what the embarrassing part of It was is that the guy used brass knuckles and then really like wailed on this dude's face. So then we had to like awkwardly see him a now get beat up because you were running your mouth and you couldn't back up what you were saying. B your eye is swollen, you're like bloody, and you have to move out of the door. Like you have to, like you had he had to come back after a week or so and like pack up his stuff, but his face was still swollen. Like he looked crazy. And whenever he passed by all of us, he just kept his head down and he just wouldn't even look at nobody, just kind of hooting everything away and just pretty much like ran out of there as fast as possible. And I said, Oh my god. Toledo might be too real for me.
SPEAKER_02Martin, go ahead and say it.
SPEAKER_01I know you're gonna say when he got beat up in that boxing match.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I was thinking the same thing, but he was all not a little.
SPEAKER_01And he sat down there. He looked at Gita. He was like, he was like, can you really tell? Gita was like, nah, baby, you can barely tell.
SPEAKER_05You know what? Honestly, what? Very similar. And like all jokes, like that's the that's the sad part. Is that he I can see that. I was like, so you know, hey, you know, I don't know what happened to that dude after that, but obviously you can't come back from that because you know, everybody gonna know.
SPEAKER_01You just gotta kind of put your head down and exit expeditiously after that. Especially if especially with you being the one talking shit, I kind of feel like if you talk that much shit, you get your ass whooped, you forever are like it's silence after that. You can't say anything to anybody else.
SPEAKER_05I will say Side question.
SPEAKER_01Since you do it, do I need to take the brass knuckles out of my logo? I don't want to be associated or affiliated with people getting their ass confident.
SPEAKER_02How did he get where did he get the brass knuckles from? I don't know. Listen, they get down to dude. I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01They picked him up uh uh uh one up. Hey, they probably cut with your school supplies in Detroit.
SPEAKER_05Well, like what the he must have just had him on him, ready to go, and then side note.
SPEAKER_02Um, it maybe no one should ever be that ready. Because nowadays I feel like I don't know. To be that ready all the time is just insane. To be in the bathroom.
SPEAKER_05Like, what's going on? Well, I think he just was like, oh dude, but you keep talking, it's done, it's over. I'm about to go ahead and uh, you know, take him out, I guess. Take it.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean Okay, so so so am I the only one to do this every so often when they out and they drift. I've done this with y'all when we were out. When I do excuse myself to the bathroom and stuff, yeah, I go to the bathroom, but I sit in the mirror and I make sure everything is tight and stuff, tight about stuff in case I got the swing on the motherfucker. You know, I don't want to be in one of the videos where I'm a swung, somebody pulled my pants and then I'm fighting with my ass. So, you know, the videos where they be the girls be fighting and they secured they they they they uh they secured their chesticles and shit, and then they fight in half the video with their titties out and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Chesticles not chesticles. It's called a they got jumpers, that's what that is. No.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god I don't ever I don't feel like I'm ever in a place.
SPEAKER_02No, that's not you know what? When I see them fight videos, before we get back to Leo here, when I see them fight videos, and they uh they be trying to kill each other in them videos, and that is embarrassing as hell. I'm like, I don't understand the the reason I'm like to have so much hate for someone is insane. I'm like, gee, just fight and get it over and move on. But they be like, person be knocked out already, but you know how they be, you know how they fall on family guy all cricket, and that's how they be looking and they just still getting kicked and jumped. I'm like, they're already looking there's nothing else they can do.
SPEAKER_01There's nothing else she could do. Side note, you know who I learned a prep like that from.
SPEAKER_00Rita. My sister. I said it, Rita.
SPEAKER_01I like I used to, like in high school, used to watch her, but the night before when she knew she was gonna get in a fight, she would intentionally like rig her earrings. So if a girl snatched them, they would pop out without fucking up her hair, uh her ear. She would rig her hair, so if they snatched it, she could just pop the threads and let the shit come out. All type of shit. Like she would go through that level of preference, like yes. And I would sit there in her doorway like this, like, I'd be dead. Well, made sure she wore light makeup that day, everything. It was just and then next morning she goes crawl on a bitch's ass and be suspended for three days.
SPEAKER_02Wow. I I've heard that.
SPEAKER_01Leo, go! You heard about the one because the video was on uh video of World Star. It was girls hanging over the side of the uh hanging over the side of the bathroom doing this shit while she was beating my mouth. I'm pretty sure she was beating it.
SPEAKER_02I think she did tell me about that one. Go ahead, Leo. What you got for us? What's your next story? Nothing.
SPEAKER_03Nothing.
SPEAKER_00So this next one is not about me.
The Peanut Can Full Of Rat Turds
SPEAKER_00It's about my aunt. So I wasn't there for it, but my family tell the story all the time. Um, I guess when she was younger, my grandma had some peanuts that was in the cabinet. And they, I guess they had they had been sitting in there for a while, and every time she asked my grandma for my grandma would tell her no. So one day she thought she was gonna be slick and go and eat them, anyways. So she was eating them, and she was like, hmm, these are these taste different, they taste weird, and she just kept eating them instead of stopping. So I think my grandma caught her eating them and yelled at her. She said, Well, they they they taste weird anyways. So my grandma looked inside the container. I don't know how they didn't realize this, how she didn't see it. Why was it rat turds inside the container? Or mice turds inside the container. So she was putting the mice turds in the container. When I tell you, when they told me that story, I hit the ground laughing.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00And I guess she ate like half the damn can. I mean, she's a trooper, she pushed through. Like after the first one, like you hit they taste weird. You said it. What is that? Like she kept eating it. I was just like, wow, I know you know you're lying.
SPEAKER_02So pause. That is nasty.
SPEAKER_05Was she like fine? Like afterwards, that she goes to the hospital, that we get sick. I'm more concerned about like the health.
SPEAKER_00I didn't ask. I was I was too busy laughing. I didn't even care about the follow up. She's still alive to this day, so I'm assuming she was fine.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well, okay, good.
SPEAKER_01One strong ass immune system. That's one strong ass mental. Like, I know she went to therapy for at least a few years. Doubt it.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. But again, I ain't don't know.
SPEAKER_01I wasn't even I I wouldn't even eat raisins.
SPEAKER_00She was that aunt that had all kind of embarrassing moments. Oh. But yeah. But she's still alive. She's still breathing. She's kicking.
SPEAKER_05Well, you know. Hey, you know, happy endings, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Thank God. Because Danny.
SPEAKER_02That's I feel like I I I feel like throwing up for her. Brother tear to my eye. Like, that's nasty. Excuse me, I had to gather myself. Well, I guess this next story.
The Bowling Ball That Broke A Toe
SPEAKER_02I just had to go ahead and go with my third one here. Um, this one's not about me. Actually, I just thought about this one. So this is when we were, this is another when we were younger. And I remember we were outside, um, we were outside playing. It was me, uh, two of my, well, three of my sisters, and I think my brother was even there. This this was that long ago. Um and we were playing, I think it was playing, was it basketball or kickball? Something was playing, I don't, I can't remember exactly what it was. All I know is that there we seen a we seen a black ball in the yard. And it took my sister, uh, Tanny, my sister Tanny, if she hears this, I'm sorry to tell the story, but she probably didn't think it was funny at the time. But I was like, oh shit. I think it was just us out there. I don't know if anybody else seen her. But why did she run up and kick this ball? And guess what kind of ball it was? Was it a scum? It was a bowling ball.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_02She kicked and she went, she ran full speed and kicked this bowling ball. I think she did she spring her toe, broke her toe, something like that. But she had to go to the hospital after work. I thought you were gonna say it was an animal, not actually a ball. No, it was a bowling ball. It was a ball just because a bowling ball. I could not tell you how that bowling ball got there. I couldn't tell you one bit.
SPEAKER_05It's more like a setup.
SPEAKER_02Somebody said caller.
SPEAKER_00It's like there's some kids that want to kiss a ball and kick it on.
SPEAKER_02We know somebody's gonna run up and kick this bowling ball. I have no idea where that bowling ball came from.
SPEAKER_01Somebody left it there like, I wonder whose toe. We're gonna break on this bitch today. I guarantee you they just moved it to different parts of the city, breaking toes all over the neighborhood.
SPEAKER_00Suspicious. Mission one accomplished. Next. That's the day we're just into the next yard.
SPEAKER_01I guarantee you, it's it's it's a guild of orthopedics that just move that bulletin ball around so they can increase their clientele. We're gonna get to some special shoes made just for that broken toe. You know, there's been somebody just heinous rolling around with this big black bullet ball just wrapping people's feet all over this great city. But luckily, we are here to help you in your time of need. Here, take this boot, Wayne Head.
SPEAKER_02Well, not Waynehead. He had a club foot. What or something? At the kick of the bullet ball, you would have a club foot. Why are you looking confused, Chaos?
SPEAKER_05Well, because he was talking about Waynehead, and I was like, oh yeah, I was like, Well, I never did know why he had that on his foot.
SPEAKER_01He had a cleft foot.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh. I think one of his what is was his legs was shorter than the other or something like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there was an episode where he actually took it off and tried to walk without it, and it was um I can't believe I still remember that. But yeah, he actually tried to walk without it one episode. I remember that. No, was Wade Head made by the Wendings? Because I used to always think that as a kid. Yes. Okay. It looked like Damon as a kid. Yeah. Yeah, Wade Head looked like Damon. Okay. Yeah. I saw you bald head. That had scratched. Yeah, a bald head kid. Just like Lil Bill. Why are these kids bald headed? I don't know why Lil Bill was bald. And Cal Yu, you think it's for a different reason? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Who's gonna come up with the next story? Okay.
Getting Out Duggied On Camera
SPEAKER_02Go ahead. You got it. Yeah, you go.
SPEAKER_05So I'm gonna preference this by saying that this was a different time. You know, I was a little insecure in myself, you know, I didn't want to express myself, and I let the culture down. So I'm gonna tell you all about a time I got out duggied by a white girl um at a dance contest. I know. I know.
SPEAKER_02So um hold on wait a minute. Who's the audience? Tell me the audience before you go on with your story, and that'll give you a.
SPEAKER_05There was a mix, no, there was a mix. I was in a fraternity, and um my fraternity was mixed, but I hung out with a lot of the black dudes. Um, and obviously a lot of the sororities were mostly white. It wasn't no, like, yeah, I wasn't hanging out with a bunch of white folks dug in. Because that that game was very shucking and jiving, and uh, I'm putting on a show. I don't like that. Um, um, yeah, so this was I don't even know what year it was. Whenever the Dougie was like real popular. Um, we would go to parties, and like it's my fraternity was mixed, but a lot of the black guys hung out with each other, um, you know, for I guess obvious reasons. And we would go to parties, dance, you know. This is when swag surf was real big, real popular too. And we were having a social with one of the sororities, and I don't know how we even got to the point of like dancing, but this one girl from the sorority, she liked to dance, and they were like, Oh yeah, the Dougie came on, they were like, Alterell got this, da-da-da-da-da. And we were out there and we just, I guess we were having a Dougie out. I genuinely cannot remember why we even did it, right? But the embarrassing part was they recorded it, and I think everybody was kind of like, oh, that was great. My friend uploaded it to his Facebook, and I'm seeing his family and friends being like, Oh, damn, he she ate him up all day. She she killed it. Oh, he looked, you know, basically saying that like she had it, I didn't, and I said, damn, we might delete this off Facebook. I might need you to go ahead and uh untag me for you.
SPEAKER_02I need to see that video. I might want to see it too. Is it yeah? I still really I'd have to look at that for the video. How far did I need to scroll on your page?
SPEAKER_05Well, I would say I well, I'm trying to remember if I'm still, I mean, I don't think I untagged myself, but it would have to be at least a good 12 to 13 years from now.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I got some research to do.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you're gonna have to be really simple to see that.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry you gotta be with that white girl.
SPEAKER_05You know what? In hindsight, I'm assuming like even just thinking about it now, I was like, well, yeah, because I was like, it really wasn't even like trying to go for it. I think this is when I was like still very embarrassed to be in front of people. And so like it was just that like, oh, okay, I gotta do this, no alcohol. I'm like, people are watching me and recording me, and I'm just like, and then I don't want to be too gay, you know. This is also that time before I even came out to my return. So I was also just like, I don't want to dance too well, it's stupid, but it's okay. She had that, she ate that. I forget her name. I want to say it's Nikki, but that might just be because I think that's a white girl's name.
SPEAKER_02Or Becky. And the good and the good knees and rhythm. That's Megan. I thought we wanted knees like a little bit. I'm sure Becky probably got good knees, too.
SPEAKER_00Oops. Did I say that out loud?
SPEAKER_02And it's recorded and it's not coming out. I wanted to delete it. Alright, Azari. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Why don't it? Why? I'm tired of every episode. We like, Zari, I know you got words. Like, what?
SPEAKER_03We all have really good ones.
SPEAKER_01We can see it in your face.
SPEAKER_02First of all, I'm high. Second of all, wish I was high. I'm still a little high. Why yes? So if I'm not as rambunctious as normal, that's why I'm really, really hungry.
SPEAKER_01The word rambunctious, no. No. Sir, no. It's not another word.
SPEAKER_00Ready, is alright. We got our popcorn. Uh-uh.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01I still got the I I can't I can't decide if I want to tell the one that involves you I see notes.
SPEAKER_02You can use me. I'm fine with that. I might leave everybody. I'm open.
Hookah Bar Dance Win And Regret
SPEAKER_01Um, okay. So like chaos, I have video evidence of this somewhere out on the internet too. So um, in a witness, my cousin was there, Auntie Coco was there. Um, we were at a hookah bar, and they used to have these dance contests every so often. And my shy ass was like, no, I ain't gonna do it. And I believe Auntie Coco set me up because they served alcohol at this at this hookah lounge. So we smoke and I'm getting shots. You know, I'm relaxing, so I'm not keeping track of shit. And they start playing, I forget what year this was, but uh Missy Elliott was they would start, we were playing Missy Elliott and hit full and shit, so whatever. But they start having a dance contest, and they want me to get out there. So it ends up being me and one other person, and they start doing all this other shit. And I just, I remember I was so drunk, I was Whitney Houston sweating. Yeah. Well, then to the next day. I last high, I won, by the way. I won, yes. Yeah, he won his contest. I did end up battling. There was a one in the on Halloween where this girl was dressed like Where's a Waldo? A Auntie Cooker was there too, and she thought she was finna tab my ass. Got to try to pop blocking shape. Anyway, that's a story for another time. But this one, it wasn't until the next morning I woke up and saw the video. Why was I on these people's pool table shaking my ass? Shaking ass.
SPEAKER_03Who you come with, yes. Shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_01I mean, yes, and I mean all fours, I mean, uh just everything, and I'm like, you know, come on. And they had it, they put it on Facebook. Uh the hookah lounge ain't open no more, but the video is still out there somewhere because I seen it like it's been some years, but I've seen it since then, and I'm like, uh why didn't you send it to us?
SPEAKER_03You should have saved the player.
SPEAKER_00I will not laugh.
SPEAKER_02I gotta find out. We gotta find your video and uh chaos video. Yeah, as we can coming from I have two videos with me.
SPEAKER_01There's a video of me on Judge Mathis that's out too somewhere on YouTube.
SPEAKER_02I think I've seen that one. I think I have seen that.
SPEAKER_01It's another disabonus embarrassing movie.
SPEAKER_02You have me out there too, somewhere. I don't know if y'all want to see it though. Ew.
SPEAKER_03Um, I want y'all to know I am.
SPEAKER_02What are the other videos of me singing?
SPEAKER_05I was looking for that video for y'all, and then all I'm seeing is like the embarrassing things I've done throughout my life.
SPEAKER_02I'm about to delete my whole Facebook because this is what hold on, save that so that way if we need to do like if if people really like this episode, prayfully they do, praying. Absolutely not, because I don't want people digging through my social media finding all my embarrassing moments because I just seen a bunch yesterday.
SPEAKER_01Memories will fuck you up. Well, we gotta save them.
SPEAKER_02We gotta save one for another time if we re have this be a reoccurring segment.
SPEAKER_01I know, no, my Facebook memories put me into depression, especially when it's about 10, 15 years ago. It may be like, you remember this? And you'd be like, damn, who was I going through?
SPEAKER_02I know. I I when I look at some of them old statuses and I'm like, why? I don't even know what I what was I getting.
SPEAKER_01I think you were really doing by doing this.
SPEAKER_05This this is embarrassing for everybody. Well, it's how embarrassing on Facebook.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. There you go. It's a shared embarrassing moment. Alright, so I I'm gonna go ahead with my what is it, the fourth
Falling Through Cement Stairs At Work
SPEAKER_02one? Yeah. Kind of like the fourth one, something like that. Okay, so uh which one am I because I got a few of them I can actually use. I think I'm used to okay. Well, there's been a couple times I fell through stairs, but the one in particular was uh so I was I was at work and I would when I used to deliver uh well deliver and pick up DME or like uh hospice uh furniture and all that. And one of the things we used one of the heaviest things we used to uh deliver was beds, and it was usually the the the bottom half because it had the motor. So I took out the top half, no problem, going down cement steps, mind you. But they weren't anchored into the house, so it was just uh cement hollow shell. And I'm okay, now I'm already, y'all know I'm already dig. And so the thing already weighs about a good 400 ish pounds. Or maybe the hat, well, that half probably weighed like two something, and then the other half weighed about like, I don't know, a hundred something. Or something like that. Either way, it was heavy. And I'm walking down these stairs, and I literally fall straight through these cement stairs with the bed with me on top of me, mind you. As I'm getting up and laughing, and the people kept running, oh my gosh, are you okay? I'm like, I'm like, I don't just fall through these stairs. I'm like, what the hell? I was like, uh, I had to call my boss. He was like, he's like, why do these things keep happening to you? I was like, I don't know. I'm like, I felt in these things. I'm like, he said, you need to go to the hospital. I'm like, I don't think so. I said, I should be our. I probably should have gone to just leave for the rest of the day and just go home and and order some DoorDash and eat. And just think about my life choices.
SPEAKER_00That would have been the day I quit.
SPEAKER_01I'm about to say, like, y'all, we are through here. It has been a pleasure.
SPEAKER_02Oh my God. It was that and that was, I think that was like the first or the second time I fell through some stairs. No, that was the first time. I fell through other stairs other times, but we'll say that for another time. But yeah, it was it was it was an experience. Oh boy. All right. What about you, Leo? What's your last one here?
Birthday Pin Spin And Public Fall
SPEAKER_00Um. I would have well, this is not. This another one is not about me. It's about one of my friends. So it was her birthday weekend, and we went, um, we decided to take her down to Columbus. So when we went to Columbus, we was at the bar. She's one of those people, when she gets drunk, she has a habit of falling. Some way, shape, or form, she's going to fall when she's drunk. So we were leaving the bar, and it was her birthday and everything. So as we're leaving, she added her birthday pin on. So people were saying happy birthday to her. She's like, Oh, thank you, thank you. And I think we had walked past some group of people. And after we had walked past, they had yelled, Happy birthday. And for some reason, why she thought it was a good idea to swing around real fast while she's drunk to wave and say thank you. But as she swung around to wave and say thank you, she just completely did a whole 360 spin and just fell. Mind you, we're leaving the bar where there's hundreds of people outside. So when she did that, I just looked at her and just kept walking. I I couldn't even, I couldn't even stop. I just I couldn't.
SPEAKER_02I just looked at her and kept walking and just said, wow. If y'all haven't noticed by now, Leo's a terrible friend.
SPEAKER_00I'm about to say, Sometimes you gotta just let people soak in their embarrassment. Because I don't know. She was about to spin around knowing you. We already hold you up as we walk in. So why would you try to do a whole spin? Ain't nobody about to catch you. Just let her go. Just looked at her. And it was like slow motion when she fell too. She spun fast, but when she fell, it was super slow motion. And I just said, you know what? You got this.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00You got this. But luckily, somebody was our other friend was there to pick her up. So she had help. It just wasn't for me.
SPEAKER_05Now, are we sure that she fell? Or was she in the ballroom and she was spending trying to do one of those dips? One of the bow. Do you ever seen those videos of people just?
SPEAKER_00No, no. It was because it wasn't smooth. It was it was very much a quick spin around. Like she literally spun just halfway with her intentions, but she did a whole 360 spin and just failed.
SPEAKER_01I was trying to help her. She thought y'all had her. She thought y'all was gonna hold her up.
SPEAKER_00The devil is a liar.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, she did it too fast. We wasn't expecting it. She did it so fast we couldn't even react. Like it was just like, well, that happened. So we don't let to this day we do not let her live that down.
SPEAKER_02She don't need to. She doesn't need to live it down at all. That's terrible. That's pretty bad. She brought that on herself. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. What? Oh Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Why do I feel I now I feel embarrassed for her? I don't know how long was it? How long ago was that?
SPEAKER_00Uh that was some years ago. Yeah, some years. She don't even she don't even drink all like that no more. But yeah, that was some years ago.
SPEAKER_01Probably not as listening to y'all's asses.
SPEAKER_00No, that's not why, but I ain't gonna tell her business as her why. But yeah, she doesn't do that anymore.
SPEAKER_02Well, Nazari, what you got for us?
Sick Kid Emergency That Went Sideways
SPEAKER_01Uh so I guess I should end on one about me. I should be keeping talking about other people. Yeah. Uh this is one I don't think I've ever told anybody. I plan on taking this to my grave, actually. So picture picture. Midwest, 1990, whatever. Wait, no. Wait a second.
SPEAKER_02Um you mean the the Midwest. Midwest. Or Midwest the company? No, like I was a child.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay, okay. Okay, excuse me. Pitcher it, Midwest, Ohio. Yeah, the Midwest. 1990s. Like, why when I said 1990s, I didn't think I would have had to specify that.
SPEAKER_02I think you mean like the Midwest.
SPEAKER_01I would have been indicted for part of it. Just say, my bad.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry. Where was I?
SPEAKER_01Anyway, back anyway. Um, where where was I? Midwest, Ohio, 1990s. So uh I was I was in Latchkey, both of my parents worked, and um I think I was sick that day. I was I was sick off my ass. And they had us outside wanting us to run around and shit. I don't know why they wanted to make us play and shit. If I just wanted to lay down and sleep, let me sleep. But I remember getting sick and I'm like, oh shit, I gotta throw up. Yes, I said oh shit in my head. Uh and I'm running. You gotta go down these bathrooms, like this weird. Yeah, but you get down there in like this dungeon sectioned off back portion, and it's a girl in there, and she playing with her face and all this other shit, and I'm knocking on the door. I'm like, I gotta vomit. I'm knocking on the door. And she like, I'm coming, coming, and I'm just come on, bitch, you got to come. Because I got to go. Oh, and she finally opened the door, and I swear to God, it was a vomit. I ended up shitting myself.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_02That took a turn, didn't it?
SPEAKER_00That is not what I was expecting. I thought she was gonna say she's just the door. And you threw up on her. I thought she was gonna say what you're not expecting ads.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely not. Neither was I, because it kept coming forward, so I didn't think I had nothing to worry about. Apparently, it said the front exit won't do, the back is gonna have to do. Wow. I remember I went in there, I sat down on the toilet, I looked at my drawers, I looked at myself in the mirror. I just remember doing like this for 15 minutes. Like, how am I gonna get in my parents' car? Like, how am I gonna tell this? Y'all can't take me home because y'all gonna hate me if you put me in a car. You would disown me. You would leave me at the fire station. So, and I'm not even sure. This is another embarrassing part to this story. So I took my drawers off and just left them in the trash can.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't want them anymore.
SPEAKER_00I would have just left them in the trash can, though. I would have put them in there, maybe took the trash out.
SPEAKER_01No, I was first of all, I was in elementary school. I didn't know, I didn't know where to take anything, and I had gone through enough. I just wanted to go home and lay down in my bed in a ball and just wonder, do I really need to continue life after today?
SPEAKER_00Some underwear would have I'd have dumped the shit out of them, try to rinse them in the sink, and then boom the jump. It was not. I looked, I would have tried everything I could as a child to hide that one.
SPEAKER_01No, they were destroyed. It's done. I just it's it's it it was it was a free ball day. This is one of the only times that I freeballed in my life. That's it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, that made me think about another embarrassing moment. Boom, baby. Well save it, save it, because we gotta get. I guess well, I'm sorry, Chaos, that you gotta follow behind that.
SPEAKER_03My story's not even as embarrassing as really.
SPEAKER_05Just put where mine go first, and then you make his last, and then you just do their exit. Well, mine gotta get to that.
SPEAKER_03That's bullshit.
SPEAKER_02You gotta do a little more. That was like a twist for real. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Absolute bullshit. Y'all ain't gonna keep making me the tail end of these damn episodes.
SPEAKER_02What she got first chaos.
SPEAKER_05Well, mine's is not as embarrassing as that. Um, but you know.
First Boyfriend Caught Stealing From Roommates
SPEAKER_05Um, mine, I guess my last one, and it's really not that embarrassing, I guess, but it was the last thing I could think of because I couldn't think of no other ones. Um, so when I was in Kent, I started dating this guy. His name is Tommy. It's been X amount of years. I'm sure he'll remember who I am. Um, but he was this white dude. Honestly, he was a little poor. And uh what is it gonna do with this?
SPEAKER_01No, fuck that. He does deserve to go after me.
SPEAKER_03It's just important for the story. What do you think you have to do with it? Excuse me.
SPEAKER_05It's just important for the story. Um because when we got together, like I was in college and I wasn't making a ton of money, but like I would have to go pick this dude up. He would stay to my, you know, stay at my house, but then he like never had money. So I was always giving him money, you know, paying for stuff, whatever, whatever. So then as we were, I think this is after I came out to the fraternity or whatever, um, he would like sleep with me, like he would come to my house and sleep with me, and he would be stealing from not only me, but then he'd be stealing from my my roommates as well, too. Um, he stole like a really nice watch or ring of mine, and I, or money, I can't remember what it was, but I remember specifically putting something somewhere, and he was the only person that saw it and where I put it, and I just couldn't find it, right? And then my my uh roommates were telling me stuff was coming up missing, and there was like one time we tried to steal my uh roommate's iPad, yeah, iPad or tablet at the time, and my roommate was not letting it go. He was like, No, I think he stole it, and I was like, No, he wouldn't do that. He's not that kind of person, and then he's like, Let me search your stuff. If you don't let me search yourself, I'm calling the police right now. And the dude is like arguing with him too, like, I didn't do anything, and he's like looking at me like, I didn't do this, you know, you know me, you believe in me, you know, blah blah blah. Well, long story short, we went to looking in his bag. Sure enough, my uh roommate's iPad was in there. So now, of course, everything else that was missing, my money, um, little stuff around the house, obviously we knew it was him uh that was stealing that stuff. So then we had to chase him out of the house, and uh it was kind of neat about that. So, not really, I guess, like super embarrassing, but like definitely it was a little embarrassing on my end to be like, oh, this is my like first boyfriend, I guess. Uh, and then I'm bringing him around the house and he's stealing from everybody, and I'm just looking like an idiot because you know I'm down here holding it. I mean that is embarrassing.
SPEAKER_01That's man's still very embarrassing. Fun fact when the coochie hair is off the cat.
SPEAKER_02So yeah. Okay, so now I see why you said you think he was he poor or was he just klepto?
SPEAKER_05I was about to say now, he was giving cause ca because you were giving him money. Yeah, I think he was I think he was I don't understand why. Oh yes, because he wasn't really working. He has some other shit going on too. I think he might have had a record or something. You know, the red flags were very prominent, they were there, but me. Your first one had a record. I think so. And I don't know, I mean, I guess you can call my my boyfriend. I don't know if we ever like official, but like, yeah. So, you know.
SPEAKER_02Well I have no comment on that.
